I’ll be honest, I know absolutely nothing about gaming. I don’t have any console and I don’t play PC games, it’s just something I never got into. I see some of the games today that look amazing but I feel like the learning curve would be too steep at this point.
This game for instance, I know literally zilch about the game play or if the game is even any good. It’s the third iteration of the game so I suppose it must be at least moderately good/successful. The point is the CGI in this game looks pretty fucking close to real life.
Will we get to a point where we’ll be able to make an entire CGI movie and literally not be able to tell the difference between fantasy and reality? What will a world be like where you’ll be able to have a computer generated Steve Buscemi banging Mila Kunis and Miley Cyrus and not be able to tell if it’s real or not? Is that really a world we want to live in? Yes. Yes, I think it most definitely is.
