“What I find strange about your campaign is your absolute desperate need for elective office.”

O’Donnell had Weiner on The Last Word and it seemed apparent that O’Donnell has been dying to sink his teeth into this interview for quite some time. O’Donnell basically starts the interview at a ten and then dials it up from there.

Weiner, doing his best to try and counterpunch these massive blows O’Donnell was landing only managed at one point to get out, “Lawrence. Lawrence…Lawrence, chill out buddy.”

O’Donnell’s main accusation wasn’t even that Weiner has some strange compulsion to reveal himself constantly and pursue multiple extramarital affairs but that he has some sort of addiction to public life and that he’s doing all of this for attention. In all liklihood that’s probably a pretty accurate assessment of the situation.

Anyone in Weiner’s position right now that doesn’t have the common sense to pull himself out of the NYC mayoral race is proving they don’t have the common sense to be the mayor of a city this size. It’s not like he has a chance in hell of winning anyway so it’s all a bit of a moot point. I just thought you guys might enjoy O’Donnell doing his best to knock him down a peg or two.
