This video is guaranteed to hit you right in the feels. Reddit user Belairboy posted his story about a promise he had made his dad when he was 8 years old that one day, when he grew up, he was going to buy him his dream car, a 1957 Chevy. Belairboy grew up poor but never forgot the promise he made his dad. In order to keep that promise he had to work his ass off at his factory job pulling as much overtime as possible and working six days a week.
At the time I was working at a factory and they let us work as much as we wanted. I was pulling 60 hour work weeks over 6 days a week for a few months so I could buy this for him.
He eventually found the perfect car online and traveled from Kentucky to New Hampshire to pick it up. Then he hid it in his garage for two years. That’s right, this guy had his Dad’s dream car sitting in his garage for two years and was able to keep it a secret until his 57th birthday.
He didn’t let the opportunity to mess with his dad slip by completely. He would show him photos of the car he actually bought mixed in with other classic cars to gauge his dad’s reaction. All that time his dad was looking at a photo of his dream car that was parked in a garage 100 feet away.
